Q

Why do Light Exercise during a Cool Down?

A

To maintain an elevated heart rate, breathing rate, vasodilation, etc

  • delivers fresh blood and O2 > removal of lactic acid.
  • keeps skeletal muscle pump in action > prevents blood pooling
