A

They were people who were loyal to Britian and wanted to flee the 13 colonies during the U.S.A war of independence who were promised land in Canada.

Some people left just for the free land

A

Britian divided Nova Scotia into 2 parts
The western portion became New Brunswick
Cape breton island became a seprate colony and so did Ile St.Jean

A

Because the loyalists didnt want to live with the french so the west of the ottawa river is upper canada and east lf the river is lower Canada

A

The British kidnapped americans to work in the British navy

Britian was at war with the french so Americans couldnt trade with the french and the British limited their trading abilities since they have control over the trade

Americans wanted control of British colonies

A

Some people just wanted the free land and weren’t loyalists so they would be giving more land than needed

The Atlantic colinies depended on the trdae with the Americans so they might join them if they start liking them

Lower Canada consisted of mostly French speaking Catholics so maybe the French would rebel on them and they wouldnt have a lot of land

A

The British because Americans stole theur land, homes and killed Tecumseh’s family. He doesn’t have any love for the britihs but despises the Americans.

The treaty of ghent ended the war in December of 1814
The war ended im a deadlock ( a tie )
Both sides agreed to stop fighting and return any territory they had gained
The border was drawn at the 49th parallel
Its the longest undefended border to this day

The Americans and British gave back the land they gained
The First Nations were fighting for the land ( specifically Tecumseh ) they gained in the Quebec Act and they lost all of it after the war of 1812
