Define the Common Risk Factor Approach
CRF addresses risk factors common to many chronic conditions e.g. diet, hygiene, smoking, alcohol use, stress and trauma.
Ex. targetting sugar → helps teeth, obesity, diabetes, etc

What are limitations of one-on-one clinical approach
Based on blief that improving pts knowledge will change behaviours
- Very difficult to change pts behaviour
- Good for short term change but not long term (ex. short motivation to floss after visit)
