What is the vulva
A
A collective of organs that make up the external anatomy of female genitalia.

Function
A
To protect the female reproductive tract. Prevents potential invaders such as bacteria as well as having chemical barriers.

Composition
A
Consists of 2 layers of labia. Labia minora (lots of mucous produced here). Labia majora which effectively closes over, forming a barrier between the external environment and the internal reproductive anatomy.
