A lesion on both vocal folds caused by trauma and subsequent inflammation and ulceration

A
- Endotracheal intubation
- Voice overuse
- Chronic cough
- GORD

What are the clinical features of vocal fold granuloma?
A
- Hoarseness
- Cough

What is typically seen on laryngoscopy with vocal fold granulomas?
A
- Bilateral lesion
- Mushroom-shaped appearance of granulomas, whitish shimmering fibrin coating
- Located in the dorsal third of vocal folds, adjacent to the arytenoids
*also do biopsy to exclude cancer and TB

What is the management of vocal cord granulomas?
A
- Conservative management
- Microsurgical removal
