a two or three-dimensional area often formed by lines, defined by edges and colors

What is color hue?
the normal colors referenced within a culture; note symbolism of colors
What are shades of color?
darker variations of a color made by adding black to the mixture
What are tints of color?
lighter variations of a color made by adding white to the mixture
What is color texture?
the sense of feeling evoked by a visual message through visual representation: rough, soft, smooth, bumpy
