Example: Service on the line was suspended while the tracks were being repaired
Obligation
Required, morally or legally binding
Example: He has nothing in common with his family, yet he feels an obligation to visit them once or twice a year.
Chaos
Complete confusion or disorder
Example: By the time the children had finished playing with all the toys, the room was in chaos.
Comparable

Example: Her degree from a foreign university is comparable to a US master’a degree.

Example: The treatment prolongs life but cannot cure the disease, which is terminal.
