A
IV amiodarone over 20 mins via:
100Ml saline bag (2 drops/sec)
OR
Syringe driver
made to 50mL with saline

Protocol for poorly perfused adult in VT
A
Midazolam 1mg increments to a max dose of 5mg
-aiming for amnesia and drowsiness with the ability to respond to verbal stimuli
AND
Synchronised Cardioversion:
1st dose 100J
2nd dose 150J (if required)

VT protocol for a poorly perfused paediatric with deteriorating conscious state
A
Synchronised cardioversion:
1st dose 1J/kg
2nd dose 2J/kg (if required)
OR
Amiodarone 5mg/kg over 20 mins via:
100mL saline bag (2drop/sec)
Syringe driver made up to 50mL saline
