How accurate the data is

Measure of whether the results obtained are solely affected by changes in the IV.
What is external validity
Measure of whether data can be generalised to other situations outside of the research environment.

Does it appear to measure what it intends to measure

Where the performance of one test is compared to a trustworthy one in the same field.
What is ecological validity
The extent to which the findings can be applied to everyday life.
What is temporal validity
The extent to which the findings can be applied across time.
