Why do you want to be on the exec board?

UWIB has been a big part of my experience at Foster
It’s been super informative career-wise, I’ve been able to learn a lot from workshops, speakers, etc.
Community aspect is also really important - been able to meet a lot of people through UWiB, everyone is always very welcoming
Also I just found it fun - the atmosphere is really great
Like to take on a leadership role and have more of a role in helping shape the club

Why marketing/publicity/student relations?

Marketing:
well i’m a marketing student
Opportunity to help promote uwib activities, fundraiser
Being creative w/ marketing strategy
Marketing also has one of the largest committees: opportunities to collaborate/work with UWiB members

Publicity:
Helping run/maintain social media, website - all tasks that I’d be interested in - super related to marketing as well, I know that those channels are the main source of info for UWiB members and how we communicate
Taking photos, helping capture UWiB events and helping with the fundraiser video both sounded interesting
Monitoring communication keeping people updated - important job

Student relations
Touchpoint for introducing students to uwib - one of the first faces they see (RSO fair)
Creating icebreakers, social: super important for each meeting in terms of setting the tone, especially at the beginning of the year
Create sense of community/fosters connection and makes the club what it is

What can you bring to the exec board?

Answer 3

Commitment to UWIB - would help me take on a leadership role
Collaboration: i really enjoy working with other people, and I think collaboration skills would help me work effectively with other exec board members with planning events and other UWiB activities
Organizational skills - good for managing workload of UWiB and coordinating deadlines
Can bring: enthusiasm - helping make UWiB the best it can be

Marketing major
Been in UWiB for two years now, (marketing, PR, procurement committees - if necessary)
Interested in taking on a leadership role, (which is why I’m here today)
