USMCA works by making rules to ensure: are to eliminate barriers to trade, promote conditions of fair competition, increase investment opportunities, provide adequate protection of intellectual property rights( the legal rights given to the inventor or creator to protect his invention or creation for a certain period of time.) , establish effective procedures for implementing and applying the agreements and resolving disputes.

How does the USMCA benefit the US
How does USMCA benefit the USA win for North American workers, farmers, ranchers, and businesses. The Agreement creates more balanced, reciprocal trade supporting high-paying jobs for Americans and grow the North American economy.. This is as it makes companies have to make some parts in the USA and makes it illegal for goods to be imported if they are made by forced labour in Mexico for a bad wage.

How does the USMCA benefit Canada
Benefits for Canada are the Canadian wage rise and Canadians receiving more jobs as not all manufacturing is done in Mexico or abroad. Automobiles must have 75 percent of their components manufactured in Mexico, the US, or Canada to qualify for zero tariffs (up from 62.5 percent under NAFTA).
