Fairtrade what is it
The Fairtrade certification scheme offers a guaranteed higher income to farmers and better environmental production
Examples of Fair trade products: coffee, bananas, chocolate,clothes
Fairtrade advantages
Fair trade goods inform consumers that what they have spent on the product will reach the farmers
Fairtrade disadvantages
The product is usually a higher price than a non-fair trade product - the customer pays more meaning often the products do not sell and the farmers do not make the money they thought they would.
