What was a tactic involving bombing?
A
Heavy bombing - used for attrition and to find Ho Chi Minh trail. Many bombs hit South.

Search and what?
A
Search and Destroy - Battle at Ia Drang 14th November 1965 US soldiers landed to do typical search and destroy mission. Outnumbered massively by VC but saved by operation flaming dart (all aircraft diverted and drop bombs on Ia Drang)
-US learn they can kill large numbers of VC soldiers (attrition/body count)

What is attrition/body count?
A
It was constant wearing down the enemy through continuous losses in personnel, materials and morale.
