Both sides suffered high casualties (SK 1/4 million military and 1 million civillian casualties)(NK 400,000 military and 600,000 civillian casualties) and economic problems - the South recovered faster because of US investments.

US suffered 30,000 casualties - It was clear that the US and the UN would defend their allies. Although South Korea was undemocratic and cost the USA 67 million dollars which was unpopular (caused damage to Truman and the democratic party)

China took high casualties (1 million) and Mao looked impressive. Russia also looked powerful but they put less numbers in.
