A
Both sides were evenly matched (Chinese had more soldiers but us had more technology), were fighting a limited war (USA rejected the use of nuclear weapons. USSR won’t send troops) and the terrain was unsuitable for trench warfare.

A
All sides were concerned with saving face. Attitudes on all sides had hardened alongside the problems of Chinese POWs (held by US\SK forces) who don’t want to go back home.

A
Peace was achieved in 1953. Eisenhower and Stalin had both been replaced, the problems of Chinese POW was resolved by an “escape”. Backroom talks between Kennan and Malik.
