Calcium renal calculi - what food/drink to avoid?
To avoid- Cheese, whole milk, skim milk, evaporated milk.
Common organism causing UTI in female
Escheria Coli (E. coli)
Common medications used in Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH)
Proscar (finasteride)
Avodart(dutasteride)
Flomax (tamsulosin)
Status post TURP
Report blood clots 24 hours post transurethral
prostatectomy
To prevent UTI
Increase fluids
Signs of Kidney transplantation rejection
- Fever and chills
- Sweating and lassitude
- Hypertension
- Peripheral edema and weight gain
- Decrease in urine output
Sports not to engage to nephrectomy patient.
Contact sports
Patient teaching for a creatinine test.
Avoid excessive exercise for 8 hours.
No red meat x 24 hours before the test.
Residual amount of urine of 50ml or more will need.
Catheterization
Antihypertensive drug that may cause suicidal depression
Reserpine
Medication administered in hyperthyroidism
Prophy|thiouracul(PTU)
Amount of urine to maintain arterial perfusion of kidneys
30-50ml/hour
PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) level for prostatic cancer
> 10 ng/ml indicates prostate cancer
