Cavernosal blood gas analysis
Sample taken from lateral aspect of corpora cavernosum to test for ischaemic priapism
Hypospadias
Birth defect where the urethral opening is not at the tip of the penis and is instead located on the shaft or scrotum
Overflow incontinence
involuntary release of urine from the bladder when the bladder is overly full despite the patient feeling no urge to urinate. Caused by a weak bladder or a blockage
Priapism
Prolonged penile erection that is NOT the result of sexual stimulation. Ischaemic and non-ischaemic varieties with ischaemic being a medical emergency
Testicular torsion
Testicle rotates, twisting spermatic cord supplying blood to testicle and stopping perfusion, causing sudden pain and often swelling. Intermittent pain may be the result of intermittent torsion but is still a medical emergency
Varicocele
Benign enlargement of the veins inside the scrotum
