not fully understood
conditions that contribute to the formations:
urine contains a high concentration of salts/minerals
retention of salts/crystals in urinary tract for extended periods of time
optimal urine pH that favors crystallization

painful urination/vocalizing straining to urinate blood in urine anuria in and out of the litterbox demonstrating they want to urinate frequency but not productive

most stones cant be dissolved, surgery might be required
