3 primary sites of constriction/potential sites of obstruction (from kidney stones)
- Junction of renal pelvis and Ureters
- Crossing of pelvic inlet
- at passage into urinary bladder wall
Arteries- several aa. supply branches to the ureters along their extended course including
Renal aa.
Gonadal aa.
abdominal aorta
common and internal iliac aa.
uterine aa. (females)
interior vesicular aa. (males)
Veins- like the arteries with numerous branches with similar names
- ultimately draining into the IVC
