- prices of burgers vary from country to country e.g $7.51 in Norway but only $3.56 in USA
- globalisation examines the share of culture and as McDonald was founded in America, American culture is passed on

- McDonald’s tried to localize and invent many different types of food combined with local culture and eating habitat
- E.g.
McDonald China launched different porridges which aren’t their traditional product to attract local consumers
McDonald India doesn’t sell product with beef, because of the main religion and culture that Indians don’t eat beef

What is the ‘create your taste initiative’ of McDonalds?
A
- McDonald’s began testing a new service - customers could use a dedicated (touch-screen) kiosk to choose all the ingredients, which are then individually cooked (meal is not fast food, but is delivered on wooden boards with cutlery)
- ended in 2016 due to customers not liking the raised price and due to longer cooking times
