Internet World Statistics

A

Europe = 87.2%. Africa = 47.1%. North America = 90.3%. Ourworldindata = digital revolution (late 90s, early 2000s) was when the world started using the internet. 50% of users had access to the internet in developed countries. In 2011 - present (2019) there has been a huge sudden growth of internet and those who have access. African countries that 0-50% have access to the internet.

Religious fundamentalists are resisting the spread of Western values - suggests that ISIS terrorist groups have anti-Western norms and values. They are religious fundamentalists but use Western technology to threaten and plan attacks on the West, but also gain followers. ISIS sent threats to the West via video broadcast on social media and audiovisual communication… use social media to encourage young people to join terrorist groups.
