management hierarchy
arrangement that provides increasin levels of authority at higher levels of the hierarchy. these levels are the executive management team, middle management team and frontline management team

feature of management hierarchy that determines responsibility, supervision and accountability of members of the organisation

the way tasks and duties are set out in an organisation, more centralised strucutres have highly specialised divisions of labour

can provide motivation to their staff with dirct payents such as pay increases bonuses and commissions based on how well they perform their duties in the business

useof promotion to motivate staff within an organisation
sanction
negativemotivation technique that involves disciplining staff about what theyve done incorrectly to ensure the job is performed at a higher standard next time
retrement
when someone takes themselves out of workforce entirely - a voluntary method of termination
redundancuy
occurs when a persons job no longer exists due to technological changes or a merge between two companies etc
resignation
voluntary method of termination where employee willingly leaves to take a job elsewhere
dismissal
when an employees behaviour is unacceptable thus the business terminates the employee
mediation
confidential discussion of issues with the assistance of an unbiased third party to attempt to come to a mutually beneficial resolution to an isue. the outcome is not legally binding
arbitration
process where a judge such as acommissioner of the fair work comission hears both partieis argument sin a dispute within a formal setting and determines a legally binding outcome
