e. g. There is a considerable body of evidence that many diseases, such as ulcers, asthma, and hypertension have a large psychological component; the working hypothesis is that they represent manifestations of dormant emotional disturbances.
Dross
(n) waste; worthless matter; trivial matter
e. g. One of the ways the dross among blogs on the internet are filtered out from the worthwhile ones is through links good blogs provide to other good blogs.

Ebullient

Eclectic
(adj) selecting from various sources; deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources

(n) the fact or process of being set free from legal, social, or political restrictions; liberation
e. g. The social and political emancipation of women.
Effervescence
(n) state of high spirits or liveliness; the process of bubbling as gas escapes
