Why: Allow us to move, keep body posture, generate heat

What: Muscles in our heart that make it pump (involuntary)
Where: Walls of heart
Why: Keep us alive
Smooth Muscle
What: Muscle which moves stuff through passages in our body (involuntary)
Where: Walls of open organs (intestines, stomach, esophagus)
Why: Keeps food from becoming stuck in our body
Compound Tubuloalveolar Glands
What: Gland that starts as tube shaped ducts and end with alveolar shaped ducts that make saliva
Where: Salivary Glands, esophagus, and mammary glands
Why:
Dense Connective Tissue (Irregular)
What: Tissue with irregular collagen arrangement that provides strength
Where: Middle layer of skin, Spleen, Liver
Why: Make skin resistant to tearing
