High Fowler’s Position
Tissue that contracts or shortens, making body parts move
Muscle Tissue
Brings oxygen into the body. Gets rid of carbon dioxide.

Protection from environmental hazards; temperature control-skin
Integumentary System
Protects and supports body organs and provide a framework, the muscles use to support movement. Made up of bones and joints.
Skeletal System
Body system that breaks down food and absorbs nutrients, removes waste
Digestive System
Blood vessels transports blood, which carries oxygen, carbon dioxide, nutrients, wastes, etc. The heart pumps blood.
Cardiovascular System
Structures composed of specialized tissues designed to perform specific functions.
Organs
Transmits messages about sensory stimuli between the brain and the other parts of the body.
Nervous system
Immature blood cell, a primordial cell capable of developing into any type of blood cell
Hemocytoblast
Cancer causing agent
Carcinogen
A group of similar cells that perform the same function
Tissue
Having equal pressure or concentration
Isotonic
Divides the body into equal left and right halves
Midsagittal Plane
The two superolateral regions of the abdomen which lie on either side of the epigastric region.
