what does it mean by health?
Health is a state of physical, mental and social well-being, not just the absence of disease or infirmity.
what does it mean by health and social care?
The organized provision of medical care to individuals or a community is healthcare.
Providing assistance with: the activities of daily living, maintaining independence and social interaction.
what does it mean by roles of a hsc worker
refer to a person’s position/name of their job on a team.
what does it mean by responsibilities for a hsc worker
refer to the duties and tasks within particular roles.
specialist doctors
Doctors work in all areas of healthcare providing you with endless career possibilities. As part of your medical training, you’ll have the opportunity to try out many of these fantastic specialities and then choose the one you would like as your speciality.
nurses
work as part of an MDT providing direct patient care, you can choose to work in a variety of settings from hospital wards and operating theatres to schools and patient’s homes
midwives
Midwives provide care and support to women and their families while pregnant, throughout labour and during the period after a baby’s birth.
healthcare assistants
Healthcare assistants make sure the patient experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. It can also be the stepping stone into many other NHS roles.

occupational therapist
