characterised by inconsistent or contradictory behaviour patterns in the presence of a primary caregiver
when reunited with caregiver the child will:
- express odd behaviour
- move slowly towards them or approach with head turned to avoid eye contact
- impulsively start to run up then pull away
- respond with fearful behaviour
disorganised attachment in adulthood
