when he/she becomes an immediate danger to her/himself or others, requiring immediate action by the health care team.

They need an order from a judge. even in emergency situations… they get some time to get the judge’s order and a legal counsel must be provided. They get a court hearing and everything. This hearing will determine if the client will stay at the hospital or not.
