branch off from descending aorta between each rib

branch off from each subclavian artery (resulting in right and left arteries)
anterior intercostal arteries
branch off from internal thoracic arteries
azygos vein
drained into by intercostal veins, drains into superior vena cava
hemiazygos vein
branch off from azygos vein below
internal thoracic veins
drain into the subclavian veins
common iliac arteries
branch off from abdominal aorta
coeliac trunk
top of the aorta, from which other arteries branch off from
superior mesenteric artery
branches off from aorta just inferior to coeliac trunk, supplied GI system
renal arteries
branch off inferior to SMA
gonadal arteries
branch off inferior to renal arteries, supply testes/ovaries
inferior mesenteric artery
branches off inferior to gonadal arteries, supplies GI tract
internal iliac artery
remains internal within the pelvis, branches off from commonn
external iliac artery
forms the femoral artery
external and internal iliac veins
drain into the common iliac vein
