Steps of translation
A
1) mRNA strand attaches to a ribosome
2) tRNA molecules transport specific amino acids to the complementary place on the mRNA molecule
3) As the ribosome moves along the length of mRNA it reads the code, and when two amino acids are next to each other a peptide bond forms
4) the tRNA is re used- it goes to collect other amino acids
5) the mRNA breaks down and the bases are re used
