Q

Describe what situational influences are

A

Positive transfer will occur if the practice conditions are as realistic as possible.
If the response to a training stimulus is not consistent to the demand of a real life experience, negative transfer will occur.

Q

A

A teacher may use traffic cones to coach dribbling skills in hockey but the method used to go around cones is very different to how a player will go around a real opponent.

Q

What do motor programmes do ?

A

They explain how we performed very quick actions in sport, like automatic movements not under the conscious control.
(If every decision was made about every single muscle action the info processing would take too long)
