A theory which is concerned with thinking and understanding rather than connecting stimuli to responses.

  • That we are continually receiving infomation from our surroundings
  • We work out what is happening using memories and previous knowledge / understanding

A

A cricketer who learns to swing the ball when bowling by understanding the basic mechanics of movement is using cognitive theory
