Pt Should be moved to fresh air
Use self contained breathing apparatus for protection
*remove all pt clothes then proceed to provide care
Chlorine causes airway obstruction and pulmonary edema
May take 2-3 days to restore lung function

Chase pain
hoarseness
wheezing
respiratory distress,
dizziness,
confusion,
headache
Strider
altered mental status ,seizures
