A
- They placed a bid to house the government’s new super-casino. The dream was shattered as it was awarded to Manchester (Only for it to later be scrapped).
- North West Regeneration Agency is looking to invest £350 million in the next 10 years to develop Blackpool.
- Blackpool will have to rely on day trippers and people saying 2-3 nights at best.
- Competition is increasing.
- Need to keep up with the times yet still keep tradition. They do already do this, with Blackpool Tower, the first electric tram system, the first electric-lit streets, unique rides and modern sculptures.
- Need to try and attract people at off-peak times.
