what is a polymer
A
consists of lots of long molecules made up of repeating sections. all atoms in the polymer are joined by strong covalent bonds.

A
high melting and boiling points, because intermolecular forces between polymers are stronger.

what are giant covalent structures
A
similar to giant ionic structures but there are no charged ions. Instead, all the atoms are bonded together by covalent bonds. giant molecules have very high melting and boiling points.
