a database that holds information about a variety of topics (income level, race, infrastructure, religion, education level, age of population, etc.)

GPS/Satellite Navigation
A
- Owned by U.S. government and operated by U.S. Air Force
- Satellite technology uses latitude and longitude to pinpoint locations on earth.
- 24 satellites orbit the Earth and transmit radio signals
- If signals of 4 satellites hits a receiver (your phone), the receiver can determine its precise location
