what will the ultrasound show for placenta previa
typically tranverse lie with fetal distress.
what is the treatment for placenta previa
C-section
what is marginal previa
when the placental previa is just passed the cervical os opening. least amount of bleeding risk
what is parcial placental previa
when the placenta is halfway across the cervical os
what is complete placenta previa
when the placental previa is all the way across the os
what is vasa previa
when there is an accessory lobe of the placenta that is across the os and the vessels that connect the two sections are across the os. blood vessels tear as the cervix dilates.
what is treatment for vasa previa
urgent c section because ;usually mom is far from delivery/
diagnosis of vasa previa made
painless bleeding with fetal distress. need ultrasound and NST/CST.
uterine rupture
most often occurs in the context of VBAC. when the uterine ruptures and the baby delivers into the peritoneum.
how does uterine rupture present
painful bleeding, typically VBAC. there is loss of fetal station!
