People believe that the world can be tough and competitive. They think that countries and people act in their own self-interest to protect themselves
What is neo-functionalism?
People believe that when countries work together on one thing, it can lead to them working together on more things. - Explain integration
What is liberal intergovernmentalism?
Make decisions based on their own interests and negotiate with each other to find common ground.
What is mutli-level governance?
Decisions and rules are made by different levels of government, like local, regional, and national. A leader for different parts. fx kommuner
What is Europeanization?
Countries in Europe become more similar in how they do things because they adopt common European rules, laws, and ideas.
What is Critical political economy?
Studying how money, power, and politics interact in Europe. It looks at how economic decisions can affect people and societies and tries to understand who benefits and who doesn’t
What is hegemony of ideas?
certain beliefs or ways of thinking have a strong influence on how things are done.
What is constructivism?
How people think and understand, can shape how countries and leaders make decisions in the European Union
What is Democratic deficit?
Some people feel there’s not enough direct voting or influence by citizens in the EU’s decision-making processes
What is legitimacy deficit?
Some people question or doubt the EU’s authority or right to make decisions on their behal
