The continued existence of and maintenance of created things by God.
Preservation
A fictitious narrative or allegory (usually of something that might naturally occur) used to illustrate and explain moral or spiritual principles. Christ often used parables in his preaching and teaching.
Parable
God’s plan for all creatures to achieve their purpose.
Providence
The principal sacramental celebration of the Church, established by Christ at the Last Supper, in which the mystery of salvation through participation in the sacrificial Death and glorious Resurrection of Christ is renewed and accomplished. This term is also applied to the species consecrated during the Mass.
Eucharist
The Passover sacrifice at the Exodus. This was a type for Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice “who takes away the sins of the world.” St. John the Baptist called Christ the “Lamb of God” because he was to sacrifice his own Body and Blood for the salvation of all humanity.
Lamb of God
The implementation of God’s plan for each creature to attain their final purpose.
Governance
Also called the Eucharist or Lord’s Supper. This name is derived from the Latin dismissal of the faithful, “Ite, missa est” (“Go, it is the dismissal”).
Mass
The public and authoritative act of the Church to protect or liberate a person, place, or object from the power of the devil (demonic possession) in the name of Christ.
Exorcism
The Kingdom of God is based on union with Jesus Christ by the work of the Holy Spirit. This kingdom, which is spiritual, begins here on earth and is perfected at the end of time. It is a kingdom of peace, joy, love, and freedom.

Being made right with God.
justification
Greek for “self-emptying,” a reference to how the Son of God “emptied himself” in order to take on human nature and redeem the world.
Kenosis
The divine glory of Christ was manifested to Sts. Peter, James, and John on Mt. Tabor.
Transfiguration
The new order established by God in Jesus Christ to succeed and perfect the Old Covenant.
