What was the War in 1812?
A
U.S. declared war against England because factors such as interference with U.S. Shipping.
- U.S. showed Britain they were a strong union and they could defeat them… again.
- U.S. was not a sea faring power. British continued to pick on U.S., taking our sailors off their ships and forcing them to work on British vessels. Led U.S. to wanted to go to war with England.

Naval power.. (water, not just a land power).
Feeling of Nationalism.

Who won the war of 1812?
A
British got some land from U.S., vice versa, there was no clear winner. They signed a treaty at the end getting their lands back. Nothing really happened accept a feeling of nationalism.

The battle of new orleans.
