British got more territory because of the war, they got Canada (which France had at the time), all French territory east of Mississippi, also Florida and Louisiana) which was spanish territory at the time.
-They also acquired serious debt and problems of controlling this large new territory.
Even though Britain won the French and Indian War and the Seven Years War, what were some not-so desirable effects because of it?
As a result of the victory, British acquired new land, but also acquired debt, and problems of controlling this large new territory
How British’s win effect the colonists?
Because British won more land, they started to tax the colonists more, they needed more soldiers. Made rules about the colonists not being able to explore deeper into America, because they couldn’t afford it. This angered them and it created deep-set hostility. Lead to the American revolution, other historical events, all steming from the French and Indian War.

In 1973, the Treaty of Paris was signed whereby the French gave all of Canada to Britain
