Q

The Kansas Nebraska Act

A

Two states could choose whether to be free or slave states, but people were angry that they could choose, because they thought they would be forced to be slave states due to what occured in the previous compromises. SO it was clear abolitionists were getting stronger, that something had to happen, they couldn’t keep compromising.
