What is evolution?
The process of mutation and natural selection. This leads to changed in species over time to suit particular environments.
Who is Charles Darwin?
He first put forward the theory of evolution when he focused on Finches.
He notices that their beaks were different depending on the type of food that was available to them.
These variations allowed those birds to survive where they were living.
What did Charles Darwin conclude?
Gradual changed take place in animals and plants over millions of years depending on their environment.

Who is Richard Dawkins?
A modern day scientist who believes evolution has no place for God or God’s plan: life is too intricate to be created by a superior being and is very unconvincing that a God would’ve thought about evolution and how to design different species.
It is genes that change and adapt, not entire species. These gene changes can be positive or sometimes negative to an individual.
Evolution does not need help from a higher being.

How can this change a christians life?
Catholics may accept the theory of evolution as they believe it is the way that God chose to create humans according to His plan. This means that Catholics would support science as aw ay to learn more about the world that God created.
