What do the Catholic Church teach about the Bible?
The Bible is a text which was inspired by the Holy Spirit and the writers of the Bible wrote down the things God wanted to be recorded.
It also teaches that as the Bible’s authors were human, they were limited in their understanding due to the time and place they were living in e.g they wouldnt have known about scientific theories like the Big Bang and this would have shown in their writing.

How can this change a Catholics life?
Catholics will read the Bible and understand it in terms of when and who it was written by. This allows them to accept the truth of the Bible and the truth of scientific theories.
What are creationist christians?
They believe that God gave humans the ability to write down exactly what he wanted and so they take the Bible literally. They believe that every word in the Bible is true and does not need interpretation.

Creationist Christians will attend Church to praise and worship God. They will pray to Him, Thanking Him for creating the whole world.
