What does SVP stand for?
St Vincent de Paul Society
What do CAFOD do?
They provide short-term aid and disaster relief for those who have experienced a natural disaster, disease or war.
They care for the planet by launching campaigns to encourage people to tackle the climate change crisis.
What do SVP do?
Make home visits to the sick and visit care homes.
They run second hand clothing and furniture stores so people have access to low cost items and stops this waste going to landfill.
How can this change a Catholics life?
Catholic Christians will try to work for the common good and put the poor first. This is a reason why Catholics may donate money to CAFOD or give up their time to work for charities.
