sacraments are an outward sign of an inward gift
they were instituted by Christ in order to give grace to a human being

- orthodox
the orthodox accept baptism , holy orders, confirmation, anointing of the sick, confession and marriage(matrimony)
they accept them as they believe they affect our relationship with God & carry responsibility to build their relationship with God.

- quakers
quakers don’t practice baptism/ the eucharist because they don’t regard some activities as more sacred than others.
instead of holy rituals, they try to involve their religion into their lives as much as they can

believe only baptism and the eucharist are essential for salvation
- this is because they were instituted by Jesus
