  • miracles occurred in israel - Jesus turning water into wine at the wedding of cana.
  • there’s a church next to the garden of gethsemane to remind christians that Jesus prayed in the garden before his arrest
  • christians focus on Jesus’ passion when in jerusalem, as this where Jesus was crucified, buried and rose from the dead

she said that she was the immaculate conception (conceived without original sin). this confirmed the churches belief.

A

in 1061, a noblewoman had a vision of Mary’s house
(when the angel Gabriel visited her).

she built a replica of her house in walsingham. her son then built a priory and this became a place of pilgrimage.

They see it as a form of idolatry as the only person one should pray to is God
