Cambyses
Cyrus’ son who conquered Egypt, but then tried to rid of Egyptian religion
Darius
Cambyses’ successor who started his job as member of the King’s bodyguard. Conquered many lands (except Greece), and stopped many revolts. He created the Royal Road and Satraps
Satrap
a governor of a province in the Persian empire
Royal Road
a great method of transportation and communication. Ran from Susa in Persia to Sardis in Anatolia, and it’s 1,677 miles.
Zoroaster
a Persian prophet who taught that the earth is a battleground where a great struggle is fought between the spirit of good and the spirit of evil.
