somatic ; lower 6 thoracic nerves (T6-T12) and L1
what is the nerve innervation of the visceral peritoneum?
autonomic nerves
pain from what peritoneum will be localised?
parietal
pain from what peritoneum will be referred and poorly localised and why?
the visceral because it receives autonomic innervation. because the GI tract is a midline structure and receives bilateral nerve supply, pain is referred to the midline.
pain will also be dull
what are the attachments of the greater and lesser omenta?
greater - stomach and transverse colon extending down to the pelvis
lesser - the liver and the stomach
where is the epiploic foramen located?
posterioly to the free margin of the lesser omentum which forms the hepatoduodenal ligament
