Physical and testimonial

Any further transfers after a crime has ceased.
What are the two assumptions of individualised evidence?
All things are unique in space and time and the properties by which a thing is categorised is constant.
What is strength of association reliant on? (5)
The kind of evidence; inter and intra-sample variation; amount of evidence; transfer and cross transfer; number of different types of evidence associated to one or more sources.
What are controls?
Materials whos source is known used for comparison.
What is a type 1 error?
Someone is falsely incriminated in a crime
What is a type 2 error?
Someone is falsely exonerated in a crime.
